Essense of the Mission
Girl From The Block is a powerful storytelling and advocacy series shining a light on the hidden struggles of young women who leave home in pursuit of higher education, only to find their dreams jeopardized by inadequate and unsafe student housing.
At the heart of this mission is Hon. Kamau Icharia’s vision to replace the aging St. Andrews Towers Apartments with a purpose-built, modern student hostel dedicated exclusively to female students — a safe, inspiring, and dignified space that supports both their academic and personal growth. Through the partnership of Metaglobe Technologies, this initiative aims to mobilize awareness, resources, and goodwill from individuals, institutions, and philanthropists to make this vision a reality.
